Aureon is pleased to announce that Aureon Charity Grants for the first quarter of 2021 have been awarded to area non-profit organizations in Northeast Iowa. The grants were presented in conjunction with Alpine Communications who sponsored the grant applications. Upon reviewing an abundance of applications, the Aureon Charity Grant Committee delegated funds to projects committed to the betterment of local Iowa communities.
- City of Guttenberg – $250.00 to help fund a pickleball court
- Elgin Historical Society – $500.00 to help fund a new computer, monitor, and video camera for the museum
- Guttenberg Chamber of Commerce – $750.00 towards the purchase of directional signage to the Cassville Ferry
- McGregor Park Board – $700.00 towards the expansion of the community splash pad
“The communities we serve, and their active volunteers, are spearheading projects that are helping our communities grow and thrive. Their efforts today will positively impact tourism, culture, and recreation for decades. We are excited to partner with Aureon to make these grants possible,” shared Chris Hopp, General Manager, Alpine Communications.

The Aureon Charity Grant Program was created in 1993 to increase service and support to rural independent telecommunications companies and the communities they serve. The Aureon Charity Grant Program awards grants on a quarterly basis. Over the course of twenty-five years, Aureon has donated over $950,000 to Iowa nonprofits through the grant program.
