Join us in welcoming Rachel Franks to Alpine Communications. Rachel is the Accounting Assistant and started her career at Alpine in May 2020. Her job duties include maintaining accounting records, tracking projects with work orders, invoicing, quotes, and managing payroll. Her roots run deep in Clayton county. Rachel is from rural Saint Olaf, Iowa, a graduate of Central Community School, and she received her Accounting Clerk and Specialist degree from Northeast Iowa Community College.
You may recognize Rachel from her previous jobs at Brown’s Sales & Leasing and The Burger Barn. She is a very quiet person by nature, but says, “once I get to know someone, I’m not.” Her goal is to visit all 50 states in the USA, and her unique talent is photography. “I’m always taking pictures of my dog,” shared Rachel. She loves to spend time with friends, family, and dog. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, and showing dairy cattle.
In her youth, Rachel was a member of 4-H and had fond memories of the fair, which is one of her favorite local activities. She explained, “Watching the shows and seeing the expressions on the kids’ faces is breathtaking. I always get goosebumps while watching the livestock shows because I remember being that 4-H kid with those same experiences.”
When asked about her time at Alpine so far, Rachel quoted Lao Tzu, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”
